Inset Day for Teaching Staff
Autumn 2011, Northwold Primary School, Hackney, London
Prior to the project ‘Magic Lantern’ at Northwold Primary School in November 2011, RIVA ran an inset day for teaching staff at the same school, entitled ‘Structures in Nature’.
RIVA gave teaching staff the opportunity to work creatively with the same materials that they could use in their classes. It was also an opportunity to discover problems the children might encounter.
Following a previous successful inset day in another school, RIVA adapted the programme to the needs of the school.
All participants enjoyed the day a lot and were very pleased with the broad range of artwork they produced. RIVA artists were very impressed with their creative input.
