Inset Day for Teaching Staff
Spring 2010, Hanover Primary School, Islington, London
This one day project took place at Hanover Primary School in Islington, London, in April 2010, following on the project ‘Paradise Gardens’ at the same school in 2009.
The objective of the inset day was to give teaching staff an insight into a broad range of two- and three-dimensional techniques which could then be used with the children.
RIVA chose the topic of this inset day to be ‘Animals’. The techniques involved drawing, painting, block printing and plaster casting.
Amanda Reese, Headteacher, was amazed by the high quality of artwork produced during the course of the day and planned to exhibit the beautiful work in the school.
